PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of more accurately measuring a lens position. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 100 compares outputs from photo-reflectors PR1 and PR2 arranged while putting a lens 2 in between. The imaging apparatus 100a has complementary constitution where the photo-reflectors PR1 and PR2 are arranged between reflectors 7a and 7b being a reference point, the outputs from the photo-reflectors are compared, and the lens position is detected based on the photo-reflector whose output is larger.
