PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition having excellent lubricity in metalworking, excellent in every aspect of a removal performance of a lubricant after used for lubrication, low smelliness, safety, and stability of the lubricant, and suitably used for the metalworking, especially for the metalworking of an aluminum-based material, including rolling thereof. SOLUTION: This lubricant composition contains at least one kind of base oil selected from a group consisting of a mineral oil, fats and oils, and a synthetic oil, and further contains (A) a monohydric alcohol having a carbon number of 9 or more and (B) a monohydric alcohol having a carbon number of 8 or less, wherein a content of the monohydric alcohol (A) having the carbon number of 9 or more is 0.5-15 mass% based on a total amount of the composition and a content of the monohydric alcohol (B) having the carbon number of 8 or less is 0.05-10 mass% based on the total amount of the composition.
