A method and an apparatus for hiding an acoustic detection signal are provided to simplify a structure by alleviating dependency on environment change of a signal transmission channel and a location of a transmitter which generates the acoustic detection signal. An apparatus for hiding an acoustic detection signal includes a plurality of acoustic receiving sensors(110), an analog-digital converter(140), a processor(150), a digital-analog converter(160) and a plurality of acoustic transmission sensors(110). The plural receiving sensors(110) are arrayed to receive the acoustic detection signal which is propagated through underwater. The analog-digital converter(140) converts the acoustic detection signal received through the acoustic receiving sensors(110) into a digital signal. The processing unit(150) inverts a time of the digital signal and reverts a phase of the digital signal. The processing unit(150) generates a transmission signal which multiplies a predetermined reflective coefficient. The digital-analog converter(160) converts the transmission signal generated in the processing unit(150) into an analog signal. The plurality of acoustic transmission sensors(110) output the signal which is outputted from the digital-analog converter(140) through underwater.
