An air conditioner is provided to improve reliability and performance of a compressor, and to increase operation efficiency by offering heat exchange between refrigerant in a heat exchange device and two step refrigerant compression of a compressor. An air conditioner comprises a phase separator(500), an evaporator(600), a compressor(100), a heat exchange device(800), an intermediate refrigerant pipe(740) and a refrigerant control valve(730). The phase separator separates refrigerant flowed to the inside into the gas phase refrigerant and the liquid phase refrigerant. The evaporator evaporates the liquid phase refrigerant separated in the phase separator. The heat exchange device mutually heat-exchanges the refrigerant passed through the evaporator and the gas phase refrigerant separated in the phase separator, and lowers temperature of the refrigerant flowed into the compressor. The intermediate refrigerant pipe includes a refrigerant inflow device guiding the refrigerant to the compressor and allows the refrigerant inflow device to be connected to the compressor. The refrigerant control valve controls flow of the gas phase refrigerant flowed into the compressor.
