PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffling device having higher muffling effect than a former resistance type muffler without complicating a structure and without complicating assembling. SOLUTION: The muffling device 5 for a blower provided with a cylindrical sound absorbing body 50 in a cylindrical case 50 and used with attached on a delivery port of the blower, is provided with a cavity 51B in the cylindrical sound absorbing body 50.
