PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work support means and a method for using the same for machining a fuel injection nozzle of short nozzle length with securing injection hole accuracy. SOLUTION: The work support means 10 is provided with a first support means 1 including a first male taper part 1a abutting on a first female taper part W1 of the work W and a second support means 2 including a second male taper part 2a abutting on a second female taper part W2 of the work W.
