The apparatus (1) provides two reference points, one of which is adjustable and fixed relative to the head of a putter. By sliding the two reference points along a straight, flat guidance surface, the putting head moves in a smooth straight line, maintaining a constant angle between the face of the putter head (21) and the guidance surface (31) i.e. this is a putting stroke. One of the reference points may be a part of the putter head (21) and the other is a member, removably attachable to the putter and adjustable so that a contact head (5) touches, and is slidable along, the guidance surface (31). Means are provided to allow the angle between the face of the putting head (21) and the guidance face to be adjusted so that it is essentially either a right angle, or any other predetermined angle. |
