PURPOSE: A pre-treatment method of pulp for manufacturing high performance filter paper and filter paper manufactured thereby are provided to produce the filter of high quality and performance, and to improve good air-permeabiltiy. CONSTITUTION: A pre-treatment method of pulp for manufacturing high performance filter paper includes a step for pre-treating coniferous bleached kraft pulp with sodium hydroxide of 6 ~ 20%. The pre-treatment method of the coniferous bleached kraft pulp is performed to improve air-permeability of the fiber by swelling the fiber to narrow the width of the fiber.
