PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately perform calibration when forming an image of colored color materials on an image of characteristic color materials, such as white and transparence.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 2 of a printing system 1, a DFE device 3 extracts a colored image area using only a plurality of colored color materials, a characteristic color image area using only a characteristic color material (a while color material or the like) of a prescribed color to be overlapped with the colored image area and an overlapping image area where the colored image area overlaps with an underlay color image area (characteristic color image area), on the basis of image information. The DFE device 3 performs gradation correction processing with respect to image data of the colored image area, characteristic color image area and overlapping image area, by using gradation correction data corresponding to image density of each image area among pieces of gradation correction data stored in a gradation correction information storage function part in association with image density of each image area, for each image area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
