The present invention is a drive power transmission mechanism provided with: a first member connected to a drive source and which is moved in the peripheral direction about a predetermined axis by drive power from the drive source; a second member capable of moving in the peripheral direction about a predetermined axis and arranged so as to be positioned on the movement trajectory of first member in the peripheral direction; a flexible covering member arranged between the first member and the second member, the flexible covering member being in contact with at least the second member; and an index that is provided to the covering member and that indicates changes in state of the contact surface of the covering member with the second member. |
