PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting device for articles capable of sorting the articles conveyed by a conveying means in an upstream side in a conveying passage to a plurality of conveying means in a downstream side and enhancing working efficiency in a latter step. SOLUTION: The sorting device for the article is provided with a first conveying means 1 for conveying the fed article W; second conveying means 2, 3 arranged in a downstream side of the conveying passage of the first conveying means 1; and a sorting means 4 for sorting the article W relative to the arbitrarily selected means of the second conveying means 2, 3 while receiving/conveying the article W conveyed by the first conveying means 1.
