PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a malfunction phenomenon due to line delay in a gate drive circuit and in a gate wiring of a gate-in-panel (GIP) type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: An embodiment of the present invention prevents malfunction due to parasitic capacitance present between the channel of a thin film transistor included in a gate drive circuit and a second substrate by forming a dummy spacer between the gate drive circuit mounted on a first substrate and the second substrate at the corresponding position to the circuit. This also prevents inflow of a foreign matter into the gate drive circuit in the process. Further, this solves a problem of decrease in the output of gate-driving signals due to line delay in a signal line connected to the gate drive circuit in a liquid crystal display device having a medium/large display panel.
