摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method and a driving device for an electrophoretic display panel that can prevent degradation in display quality, the electrophoretic display device, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The electrophoretic display panel has one electrode as a common electrode and the other electrode divided into a plurality of segment electrodes. Then the electrophoretic display panel is driven with a driving signal from a display driver 62. The display driver 62 drives an electrophoretic display panel with a first driving signal having a high-impedance state inserted when display of the electrophoretic display panel is continuously rewritten. When the display is rewritten discontinuously, the electrophoretic display panel is driven with a second driving signal not having a high-impedance state inserted. Consequently, a segment where display is to be maintained can be prevented from decreasing in contrast in both cases of continuous and discontinuous rewriting of the display, to improve the display quality of the whole display panel.
