A system and a method for providing an additional service in a Karaoke by using an IC chip storing user information are provided to enable a user to process an authentication procedure conveniently/easily without any action by reading user information stored in the IC chip simultaneously with connecting a USB(Universal Serial Bus) storage device to a USB port of a Karaoke device connecting to a service server. A USB storage device(300) contains an IC chip having a space for storing user information received from a service server(20) and a flash memory storing data downloaded from the service server. A Karaoke device(100) includes a contactless reader storing the user information from the IC chip of the USB storage device, a USB port(220) reading address service data from the flash memory, and a controller storing the read additional service data and user information to a memory by each user ID. The service server authenticates the user ID by receiving the user ID from the Karaoke device, provides a local code and an additional service to the Karaoke device when the received user ID is authenticated. The service server stores service use record and service details to a database by each user ID. |
