PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use information suitable at the time of calculation of an induction route as information on road surface quality, in a navigation device using a road of sufficient road surface quality as the guidance route preferentially. SOLUTION: This navigation device for a vehicle reads, from a map data acquiring section, road surface quality data showing a correspondence relation between the time and the road surface quality of the road at the time in each of a plurality of links, and specifies the current road surface quality of the plurality of roads based on the contents of the read road surface quality data. The navigation device 1 for the vehicle, based on the specified current road surface quality, determines the guidance route in a method where the road of high road surface quality is easily employed as the guidance route than the road of low road surface quality.
