The invention relates to a device for mounting and holding a motor-driven fan (1) inside a housing (7) forming a holding space (6) for receiving an axially introduced carrier (5) of a motor (2) of the motor-driven fan (1), said device comprising holding elements (12, 13) which are respectively arranged on the carrier (5) and on the housing (7) for mounting the motor-driven fan (1) onto the housing (7) in a determined relative position inside the holding space (6). According to the invention, at least one of the holding elements (12, 13) comprises elastic means for clamping the holding elements (12, 13) together and for compensating a tolerance deviation between the holding elements (12, 13) during the co-operation thereof (12, 13).
