[Problem] To provide a storage management system and a storage management method with which it is possible to recover quickly when a failure occurs. [Solution] A storage management system wherein a mainframe host and a storage are connected. The storage manages storage information that includes performance information. The mainframe host manages volume serials identifying online logic volumes and associated with storage groups, collects information from the storage on the basis of the volume serials associated with the storage groups, extracts performance information from the collected storage information, and associates the extracted performance information with the storage groups, thereby associating and managing tasks and performance. In addition, on the basis of copy pair information and a primary volume serial extracted from the collected storage information, the mainframe host predicts and manages the volume serial of an offline secondary volume. |
