PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting device and a receiving device capable of suppressing deterioration in reception performance low even when the directivity is changed.SOLUTION: A transmitting device 1 comprises: an encoding unit 11 that performs error correction encoding; an interleaving unit 12; a modulator 13 that performs predetermined modulation processing to an interleaved signal; a directivity variable antenna 15 that can change a radiation pattern; a guard section insertion unit 14 that inserts a guard section not contributing to demodulation into a frame; and a directivity controller 16 that instructs the directivity variable antenna to change the radiation pattern, in the guard section inserted by the guard section insertion unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
