PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement structure for an existing building, which can enhance earthquake resistance of the existing building without reconstruction and which can protect the existing building against a tsunami.SOLUTION: A reinforcement structure 10 for an existing building 12 includes an external frame 14 that is installed on the outside of the existing building 12 and that supports the existing building 12 from the outside, and an exterior wall 16 of reinforced concrete, which is brought into contact with and connected to at least one of a column 50a and a beam 50c of the external frame 14. |
