1. A microcatheter trackable through a mammalian vasculature, comprising:
a metal member defining a first lumen section and having an external diameter sized to pass into vascular lumen of less than 3 mm diameter; and a metallic helix defining a second lumen section; said metal member and said metallic helix each terminating in faces which abut to comprise a region of end-to-end weld-joined attachment around the face circumferences, and defining passageway through said first and second lumen sections, unobstructed by sidewall obstructions from the weld-join, the passageway being sized for passage of a guidewire. |
