PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface-treated calcium carbonate capable of improving impact resistance or the like of properties by blending a thermoplastic resin, and to obtain a thermoplastic resin composition containing the surface-treated calcium carbonate.SOLUTION: The surface-treated calcium carbonate is obtained by applying surface treatment to a synthetic calcium carbonate having an average particle size in a range of 0.1-0.5 μm using an alkyl aryl sulfonic acid or the salt thereof. |
