PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can significantly improve the followability of image forming velocity on a display screen relative to handwriting input speed, and to provide a control method of the display device.SOLUTION: According to the embodiment, a liquid crystal display device comprises a plurality of pixel circuits arranged two-dimensionally, and each pixel circuit includes a display element and a pixel memory that stores a signal for driving the display element. An X direction driver and a Y direction driver can select any pixel circuit to drive it. A touch type input panel is arranged integrally with the display device. A touch panel controller converts a sensing output of the touch type input panel into coordinate data. A display controller receives the coordinate data and performs partial rewrite via the X direction driver and the Y direction driver for each pixel circuit of the liquid crystal display device. |
