STRING-LIKE SUBSTANCE-CATCHING MEMBER FOR OPTICAL TWEEZERS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string-like substance-catching member for optical tweezers capable of carrying out operation without damaging a string-like substance and capable of simply carrying out operation and preparing operation.

SOLUTION: The string-like substance-catching member for optical tweezers is used for movably operating the string-like substance in a solution by action of optical tweezers by beam irradiation of laser light. The member for optical tweezers has a body in which the length in the longitudinal direction is longer than the length of a direction being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and a U-shaped locking part installed in the body and having an opening in the direction which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The member for optical tweezers is caught by laser beam in a state in which the string-like substance is locked by a locking part and enables movement of the interior of the solution.
