PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can perform the drawing processing and encoding processing of image data at a high speed with a small memory capacity, an image processing method, and a program executed by a computer. SOLUTION: A drawing device 108 generates the image data in a color component unit, and transfers a plate drawing completion signal to an encoding device 109 each time when the drawing of the image data for one color component in a band storage area 105C is completed.
