PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable disk drive unit which reduces wobbling of an optical disk and prevents error when recording and reproducing an optical disk by forming a case for the disk drive unit. SOLUTION: A slope 1115 is formed between a through-hole 113 and a first end surface 13 of a top panel 111 of a first case 11 as the box 10 for the disk drive unit 1. The slope 1115 is formed so as to incline from a central part 1115a toward a side panel 112 in the upward direction of an axis. In other words, the slope 1115 is formed so that the distance in the direction of the axis between the upper face of the disk D and the slope 1115 increases from the central part 1115a toward the side panel 112.
