A device for connecting at least one sacrificial anode to a sub-sea pipeline 1 in a cathodic protection system. The device comprises a clamp body 3 and a plurality of inwardly extending pipe engaging members 4 that are supported by the clamp body 3 such that the pipe engaging members 4, or the pipe engaging members 4 and a portion of the clamp body 3, are arranged to provide mutual support for each other as they contact the pipeline 1. The pipe engaging members contact the surface of the pipeline 1 to form an electrical connection between the pipeline and a sacrificial anode, and may comprise pins which penetrate the protective coating 2 which surrounds the pipeline 1. In use, the clamp body 3 is arranged such that it does not surround the entire circumference of the pipeline 1 and may be U-shaped or C-shaped. In addition, isolating means such as grease-filled bellows 9 may be provided around at least one of the pipe engaging members 4. |
