A battery-type drilling machine (10) comprising: a drill drive unit (14) having a motor for rotary driving a drill bit; a drilling machine main body (12) having a battery attachment section (28); a battery locking member (30) movable between a retracted position and an advanced position, relative to a battery (16), and which ensures, when in the advanced position, that the battery does not detach from the battery attachment section; a position detection means (limit switch) (32) that detects the position of the battery locking member; and a state display means (33) for displaying the drilling machine state. If the position detection means (limit switch) (32) detects that the battery locking member (30) is not in the advanced position when the battery (16) is attached to the battery attachment section (28), the state display means (33) displays a warning indicating same. |
