PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact steering device that is capable of separately steering each of a pair of wheels, in which the pair of wheels can be securely steered. SOLUTION: In this steering device 200B, a first rack shaft 30 steers one wheel of the pair of wheels. A ball screw mechanism 31 converts rotating motion of a first nut 36 into axial motion of the first rack shaft 30. A planetary gear unit 175 comprises a second ring gear 168 that is driven by a second motor 152. As the second ring gear 168 is driven by the second motor 152, torque given to the first nut 36 is transmitted to a second nut, while varying the rotating angle of the second nut to the rotating angle of the first nut 36. A second rack shaft 32 is separated from the first rack shaft 30 to steer the other wheel of the pair of wheels.
