PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new battery separator and the like improved for use of at least specific high temperature.SOLUTION: Disclosed or provided are a non-shutdown high-melting point separator or an ultra high-melting point fine porous battery separator, battery separators, membranes, composites and the like that prevent contact between an anode and a cathode when a battery is maintained at high temperature for a period of time and continue to provide substantial level of battery functions when the battery is maintained at high temperature for a period of time. Furthermore, disclosed or provided are methods of making, testing and/or using such separators, membranes, composites and the like, and/or Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and the like including such separators, membranes, composites and the like. |
