A subterranean well system 10 comprises a chamber 40, preferably a junction, expanded within the well. The chamber 40 consists of a wall made up of multiple layers. The layers include an outer shell 18 and an inner shell 20, which are expanded sequentially, the inner shell 20 being displaced at least partially into the outer shell 18 after the outer shell is expanded. A hardenable load bearing material 34 may be pumped between the inner and outer shell. At least one of the layers may be inflatable. The chamber may have any number of exits or branches 24. Also disclosed is a junction made of a single layer of composite material. |
