PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge type retractable knife, which is highly safe and prevents the blade body from being disengaged and falling off during use. SOLUTION: The cartridge type retractable knife includes a grip 1 to form the outer shell of a retractable knife, a holder 2 to be fixedly held inside the grip 1, a cartridge 3 which is freely attachably and detachably loaded in the holder 2 wherein a plurality of blade bodies S are laminated so as to keep resiliency, and a slider 4, wherein the blade body S is put in and taken out through the distal end opening of the holder 2 by moving the blade body S along the longitudinal direction of the cartridge 3, linked with a blade body S positioned on outermost face among the blade bodies S in the cartridge 3. A spacer 5 to form a gap t allowing the blade body D to pass through is placed on the front end of the holder 2. The spacer 5 is provided with: at least one projecting part 5a which abutting on a side of the blade body S to prevent the blade body S from being bent; and an inclined wall 5b, wherein the linkage with the blade body S by sliding thereon by movement of the slider 4 is released to enable the blade body S to be taken out.
