PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the thermal stability of an organopolysiloxane polymerized by using an alkali metal catalyst. SOLUTION: The method for improving the thermal stability of the organopolysiloxane involves formulating (B) a metal injury inhibitor with (A) the organopolysiloxane polymerized by using the alkali metal catalyst. The organopolysiloxane mixture comprises (A) the organopolysiloxane polymerized by using the alkali metal catalyst, and (B) the metal injury inhibitor [0.02-1 pt.mass based on 10 ppm of the alkali metal in the component (A)].
