<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement and control system for use in performing a medical procedure. <P>SOLUTION: The measurement and control system employs an energy source. The system includes a measurement system configured to sample an output signal generated by the energy source and a control system, in which the sampled output signal has a magnitude and phase. The measurement system includes a calibration unit configured to receive and store loss information on a transmission line and also to generate the sampled output signal and a calibration signal having a magnitude and phase representing the loss information on the transmission line, and a control unit configured to receive the calibration signal and adjust the energy source in response to a value of the calibration signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
