<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding method for forming a connection part between a plastic pipe 2 and another plastic product 3. <P>SOLUTION: In the laser welding method, one end 4 of the pipe 2 is joined overlapping with a tubular end 5 of the product 3, and the ends 4, 5 have an internal dimension 6 or an external dimension 7 respectively in an area of the connection part 1. The largest external dimension 7 of the internal ends 4, 5 in the area of the connection part 1 is larger than the smallest internal dimension 6 of the external ends 5, 4 in the area, which causes contact pressure between the ends 4, 5, and the contact pressure improves mutual thermal contact in laser welding. The laser welding method is characterized in that the joined ends 4 of the pipe 2 and product 3 contain polyamide as a main component and are fixed without using a mandrel, while a laser beam used for welding is guided around the fixed pipe connection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
