<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a non-luminescent and transmissive display device, suppressing an increase of cost and suppressing a mounting space, in making the brightness and chromaticity of the light-emission face of the lighting system uniform. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system is used for the non-luminescent and transmissive display device. It comprises a base substrate, a driving part having an emitting element two-dimensionally arranged on the surface of the base substrate for driving the emitting element, and an emission intensity control part for controlling the emission intensity of the emitting element. The emitting element is arranged in such a manner that the end of the base substrate has higher density than the center, the end has higher density in a region where the temperature of the base substrate is higher, and the center has higher density in a region where the temperature of the base substrate is higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
