PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece dial having an excellent property in transmitting light (visible light), an excellent esthetic appearance, and excellent durability, provide a timepiece provided with the timepiece dial, especially provide a timepiece excellent in power generation efficiency of solar cells and capable of producing a stably excellent esthetic appearance. SOLUTION: The timepiece dial 1 comprises a substrate 2 principally constituted of polycarbonate; a zinc sulfide layer 4 provided for the side of a first surface 21 of the substrate 2, one principal surface of the substrate 2, and principally constituted of zinc sulfide; a silicon oxide layer 3 provided between the substrate 2 and the zinc sulfide layer 4 and principally constituted of silicon oxide; and a coating 5 provided for the side of the surface of the zinc sulfide layer 4 opposite to its surface facing the silicon oxide layer 3, constituted of a material containing a coloring agent and/or a diffusing agent, and having a light-transmitting property.
