PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzing method of trans-2-nonenal capable of quantitatively analyzing trans-2-nonenal being the main causing substance of a cardboard odor in a further lower concentration region than before with sufficient sensitivity and high precision. SOLUTION: In the analyzing method of trans-2-nonenal in a fermented malt beverage, a beer-like beverage or wort, a sample to be inspected obtained from the fermented malt beverage, the beer-like beverage, or the wort is subjected to a head space-solid phase micro extraction (HS-SPME)-gas chromatograph mass analyzing method (GC/MS method) and a stable isotope of trans-2-nonenal is used as an internal standard substance.
