PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the danger of damaging a knife edge made of diamond of a diamond knife for an ultramicrotome. SOLUTION: As a means to solve the problem, this jig for protecting a diamond knife edge is composed of the jigs (1 and 2) mounted on the main body (3) of the diamond knife for the ultramicrotome and characterized by protecting the edge (4) made of diamond when the diamond knife falls.
