PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cracks, breaking, chipping of an anchor block as much as possible. SOLUTION: In the anchor block 13 holding an unshaped refractory constructed on a solid refractory of a tundish reserving molten steel, a parallel-cross or cross-shaped core 26 for reinforcing an anchor block body 25 is embedded inside the anchor block body 25 capable of holding the unshaped refractory.
