<p>A client device (100) issues an event notification request to a service-providing apparatus (200), and notifies the service-providing apparatus whether an event processing unit which processes the event for which the notification request has been issued is active. Upon detecting the occurrence of an event, the service-providing apparatus searches for client devices whose notification requests for the event have been registered, and notifies the occurrence of the event to a client device in which an event processing unit which can process the event is active.</p> |
