摘要 A backlight unit, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a base; and a plurality of light emitting diode packages arranged on the lower surface of the base, wherein each light emitting diode package comprises at least one light emitting diode that includes: a first conductive type semiconductor layer; a mesa located on the first conductive type semiconductor layer and comprising an active layer and a second conductive type semiconductor layer; a reflective electrode structure located on the mesa; a current spreading layer covering the mesa and the first conductive type semiconductor layer, wherein the current spreading layer has a first opening for exposing the reflective electrode structure and is electrically connected to the first conductive type semiconductor layer and insulated from the reflective electrode structure and the mesa; and an upper insulating layer covering the current spreading layer, and the upper insulating layer has: a second opening for exposing the current spreading layer to limit a first electrode pad area; and a third opening for exposing an upper area of the exposed reflective electrode structure to limit a second electrode pad area.
