Disclosed are a method and apparatus for controlling an electronic device/unlocking a hand-held terminal. The electronic device comprises a touchscreen. The method for controlling the electronic device comprises: detecting a first touch path of a user on the touchscreen when the electronic device is in a state in which a user interface is locked; and after detecting that the first touch path is completed, displaying an unlocked user interface when detecting a second touch path intersecting with the first touch path, either of the first touch path and the second touch path matching a preset unlocking path. |
