POROUS POLYIMIDE, ITS PRECUSOR AND MANUFACTURE OF POROUS POLYIMIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porous polyimide which is capable of effectively lowering a dielectric constant and refractive index as well as effectively preventing lowering of thermostability and the like, easy to be manufactured and highly transparent. SOLUTION: A porous polyimide comprises plural micropores dispersed in a matrix containing a polyimide. The micropores in the porous polyimide is formed by removing a hydrophilic polymer from a precursor comprising a matrix containing a polyimide and a hydrophilic polymer dispersed in the matrix. Further, light transmittance of this porous polyimide is not less than 70%.
