PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an operation efficiency for container loading and provide a container terminal system high in safety by carrying a container from the outside to a container yard by directly using a manned chassis, and automatically carrying the container in a space between the container yard and each container crane by using an automatic guided vehicle. SOLUTION: Running routes 30 for a manned carrying vehicle are stretched out in an area from gates 25 and 26 through which an manned chassis 28 carrying containers goes in/out, over to a container yard 21 and a crane yard 22, and running routes 31 for an automatic guided vehicle are stretched in the area from the container yard 21 over to the crane yard 22. A crossing part vehicle advancing guide means having traffic signals is provided for the intersections 55 through 62 of each running route 31 for an automatic guided vehicle with each running route 30 for a manned carrying vehicle, and the manned chassis 28 and the automatic guided vehicle 29 are prevented from advancing to the intersection simultaneously.
