PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable ashtray convenient to carry, good in handleability, and easy and sure in closing operation for ensuring cigarette ash contained not to leak out. SOLUTION: This portable ashtray is characteristic in being made up of a container 4 of synthetic resin provided with an opening 2 for cigarette ash on the upper face and also provided with a holder 3 for both cigarette ash and butts communicating with the opening 2 and a cover 5 of synthetic resin for opening/closing the opening 2.
