PURPOSE: A combination-type traffic card system using a mobile communication terminal is provided to record a virtual identifier based on a short message including activation information of a traffic card function, and to read virtual identifier information of a combination-type USIM(Universal Subscriber Identity Module) chip, thereby deciding whether the traffic card function is activated or inactivated. CONSTITUTION: A combination-type USIM chip(110) records a virtual identifier based on a short message. A combination-type traffic card system comprises as follows. A traffic card reader reads virtual identifier information, and decides whether a traffic card function is activated or inactivated. A traffic card managing/account-settling device(500) receives the virtual identifier information and accounting information to bill for service charges. A customer management/accounting device(400) performs an accounting process. An SMSC(300) generates the short message including activation information on the traffic card function, and transmits the short message to a mobile communication terminal(100).
