PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canister module capable of preventing fuel vapor from being released into the atmosphere without complicating a structure and increasing manufacturing man-hour, the number of parts, and pressure loss in an atmospheric passage. SOLUTION: An adsorbent layer 51 is provided in the peripheral direction along an internal wall of an atmospheric port 32. For this reason, the adsorbent layer 51 surrounds the atmospheric passage 21 and does not shut off the atmospheric passage 21. The adsorbent layer 51 absorbs minute amount of fuel vapor flowing out from adsorbent 44 in a second storage chamber 42 by diffusion. Consequently, when an opened end 24 of the atmospheric passage 21 is opened for the atmosphere, fuel vapor flowing out from the second storage chamber 42 of a canister 30 by diffusion is absorbed by the adsorbent layer 51. As a result, release of fuel vapor into the atmosphere can be prevented without increasing pressure loss in the atmospheric passage 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
