PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an H-shaped external facing material for construction usable as an external facing material, easily manufactured even if dimensional shape is large, and advantageous also in respect of cost. SOLUTION: This external facing material for construction is formed in approximately H-shaped cross section with a first side member 11 and a second side member 12 long-sized and arranged parallel with each other, and a long-sized middle member 13 arranged between the first side member and second side member. The first side member, second side member and middle member are connected to one another by a connecting member 14, and the first side member and second side member are provided with recesses 53 respectively at almost the center parts in the width direction of inside faces opposed to each other.
