PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rope type rock-fall prevention fence with excellent economy, constructibility and maintainability, which enables stretching work to be reasonably performed even on a job site with a narrow space by using a general-purpose wire rope and contriving a method for stretching the wire rope, which enables the wire rope, a support, etc. to be locally replaced with ease when they are damaged by rock fall, and which dispenses with a structurally large-scale end support. SOLUTION: This wire rope type rock-fall prevention fence comprises the supports 1 which are erected at regular intervals, and the wire rope 2 for the fence, which is laid between the supports 1; wire-rope positioning parts 3 are provided on the support 1 at intervals in the vertical direction of the support 1; and the wire rope 2, which is laid between the supports 1 and 1, is spirally wound around the outer peripheries of the supports 1 and 1 by utilizing the positioning parts 3.
