<p>A power connector (100) comprises a housing (102) and an electrical wafer (104) mounted in the housing (102). The wafer includes a dielectric material (160) having a thickness (T) between a first side (162) and a second side (164). The second side (164) is opposite the first side (162) and substantially parallel to the first side (162). A power trace is located on the first side (162) of the wafer (104), and a ground trace is located on the second side (164) of the wafer (104). The power trace at least partially overlaps the ground trace, and the thickness (T) of the dielectric material (160) is such that the power trace and the ground trace form a decoupling capacitor that reduces fluctuations in the power transmitted through the connector (100).</p> |
